After two days of consistent rain, Whitecourt reportedly received over 40 millimetres over the weekend.
According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Whitecourt had 44 mm of rain on June 20 and 21.
The weather summary by ECCC also reports that Edson had 48 mm and Barrhead received 89 mm.
The weekend rainfall spanned from central to northern Alberta, with Elk Island National Park receiving the most with 133 mm.
Stony Plain had 123 mm, and Edmonton received 95 mm, along with some reported flooding and sewer backups. An overland flood warning was also issued in Lac Ste. Anne County, and a water restriction was issued in the Town of Barrhead.
