Edson RCMP have laid additional charges in relation to the ongoing investigation of a local teacher accused of sexual interference.
As a result of a continuing investigation, Mounties say three additional victims have been identified. On Jan. 25, 2023, Brian Leroy Davison was arrested and charged additionally with three counts of sexual exploitation, and three counts of sexual assault.
Police say Davison has been taken before a justice of the peace and released from custody with his next court appearance set for Feb. 7, 2023, at Edson provincial court and Feb. 14, 2023, at Barrhead provincial court.
RCMP say this investigation is ongoing, and any additional victims are encouraged to come forward.

Edson RCMP charge male with Sex Interference
Edson, Alta. – On Nov.24, 2022, Edson RCMP received a report of sexual interference involving a teacher. As a result of an investigation, on Dec. 7, 2022, RCMP arrested 50-year-old Fort Assiniboine resident Brian Leroy Davison. Davison has been charged with:
- Sexual interference
- Making sexually explicit material available to a child
- Luring a child
Davison has been taken before a Justice of the Peace and released on conditions with his next court date set for Feb. 7, 2023, at Edson Provincial Court.
Davison is a teacher at Edson’s Ecole Pine Grove School in the Grande Yellowhead Public Schools Division.
Edson RCMP believe there may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward.
