One person is seriously injured following a traffic accident in Whitecourt on the morning of June 16.
Whitecourt RCMP report that, on June 16, 2022, at around 10:55 a.m., they responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a semi and an SUV. The collision happened at the intersection of Highway 43 and Dahl Drive.
The driver of the SUV was extricated from the vehicle and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Whitecourt RCMP, RCMP Traffic Section, RCMP Collision Analyst, Traffic and Commercial Vehicle Sheriffs, Whitecourt Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services all attended the scene to assist.
RCMP share that their investigation continues. Traffic was being diverted around the scene, however, it is moving freely at this time.
RCMP will be issuing an update when more information is available.
