The Town of Whitecourt says it is doing what it can to help out organizations in the community.
At Whitecourt town council’s May 9, 2022 meeting, council handed out $30,000 in funding through their 2022 Enhancement Grant Program.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 44 was given $3277.93 for upgrades to the Darts Program.
Whitecourt Taekwondo was given $10,600.50 for the Second Dojang Training Space.
The Whitecourt Golf and Country Club was given $10,056.03 for their driving range.
And the Whitecourt Indigenous Friends Society was given $6065.54 for the Orange Shirt Day Round Dance.
Whitecourt Mayor Tom Pickard congratulates these groups.
“These and many other groups enhance our lives in Whitecourt, and this is an opportunity where we can support them in a small way,” says Pickard.
