Whitecourt’s Canfor Culture and Events Centre has recruited another sponsor: Pembina Gas Infrastructure.
The company will receive the naming rights for the Pembina Gas Infrastructure Gallery. Town officials say the gallery will exhibit the work of local artists in addition to travelling exhibitions, and is intended to encourage appreciation for the visual arts.
“Our investment decisions are based on our understanding of the unique needs and characteristics of each community, and we focus our investments and partnerships on initiatives that improve access to education, protect or preserve the environment, promote safety, create community space, and encourage recreation and a healthy lifestyle. We are proud to support the Town of Whitecourt!” said Cianna Hunter, Supervisor, Field Administration, Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
Whitecourt Mayor Ray Hilts also commented that the sponsorship of the space “is really special for our community.”
The Canfor Culture and Events Centre is a new facility designed to host conferences, trade shows, concerts, festivals, ceremonies and other events. Its first event takes place on Oct. 15. You can view the schedule here.
