According to the 2026 mid-year report, Woodlands County Fire Services responded to 131 emergency incidents between January and June of this year.
The Fort Assiniboine, Blue Ridge, Anselmo and Goose Lake stations responded to 78 calls, while the Whitecourt Fire Department responded to 53 calls.
The report also notes that wildfire WWF017, in May, was one of the most significant events of the year for Woodlands County Fire Services.

Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of calls received by the Fort Assiniboine, Blue Ridge, Anselmo and Goose Lake stations decreased in 2026.
The Fort Assiniboine station received 26 calls this year compared to 82 last year; calls to Blue Ridge dropped to 25, down from 46; the Anselmo station responded to 12 calls, one less than last year; and Goose Lake firefighters received 15 calls, down from 34 in 2025.
During the first half of the year, 12 firefighters also earned new certifications to improve local response abilities.
Woodlands County council received the report for information during its regular meeting on Sept. 10, 2026.
