Fox Creek RCMP say there will continue to be a heavy police presence in the area of 5A Street between 7 and 8 Avenue today.
Police were dealing with an armed male in a residence earlier this morning and issued a shelter-in-place at 5:30 a.m., before it was rescinded about 20 minutes later.
Residents are still asked to please avoid the area though, to allow officers to safely do their jobs.
An update is expected later today.
