The Town of Barrhead invites residents to celebrate Canada Day with the community next Wednesday.
On July 1, the following activities are planned at the Barrhead Sportsgrounds:
- 9 a.m.: Ball Hockey Tournament (Agrena parking lot)
- 1 p.m.: Toonie swim (Regional Aquatics Centre)
- 2 p.m.: Family Fun Zone opens (Sportsgrounds)
- 2:45 p.m.: Live stage kick off
- 3 p.m.: Country Mammas Vendor Market (Curling rink)
- 10:45 p.m.: Fireworks
The live stage will feature headliner Black Board Jungle, with special guests Sauvage Plain and Geinger. David Jukebox Lee will also bring games and entertainment to the stage.
The Sportsgrounds will also be bustling with food trucks, beer gardens and other concession options.
More Canada Day activities are expected at the Barrhead Centennial Museum and Blue Heron Bowl, with details to come.
In the event of rain, the town says all activities will move indoors to the Agrena.
