It’s time to saddle up for the Whitecourt Woodlands Rodeo this weekend.
Three days of rodeo action are planned for June 19-21 at the Westward Community Centre.
Friday, a marketplace pops up in the Westward Community Hall from 3-7 p.m., with a barrel race scheduled for 6 p.m.
Rodeo action runs 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, with community challenges starting at 5 p.m.
Then, at about 7:30 p.m., there’s a Community Dance in the Dirt.
Sunday features Cowboy Church from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Father’s Day breakfast running from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The rodeo performance runs 12-4 p.m.
If you miss the marketplace on Friday, you’ll have another chance from 12-6 p.m. on Saturday and 12-4 p.m. on Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday, a kids’ zone will also be set up throughout the day with bouncy houses, games and activities.
