THUNDER LAKE SUBDIVISION – EVACUATION ALERT
According to Alberta Emergency Alert, there is a wildfire burning in or near the Thunder Lake Subdivision of Barrhead County No. 11.
According to the County of Barrhead website, the emergency alert, there are structural fires specifically in the Summerlea subdivision near Thunder Lake, approximately 20 km west of Barrhead.
Action to take:
- Residents in Thunder Lake subdivision must evacuate immediately
- Take Highway 18 to Barrhead and register at the County of Barrhead office (5306-49 Street, Barrhead, AB)
- All residents should avoid traveling near this area
- Visit www.CountyBarrhead.ab.ca for ongoing details when available
According to the alert, there are structural fires in the Thunder Lake Subdivision, south of the Provincial Park boat launch.
