Golfers in the Whitecourt region, it’s time to unleash your swing; the Whitecourt Golf and Country Club’s driving range opens Friday, May 1.
Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Food and beverages will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the golf course opens for play.
The organization hopes to open nine holes late next week and 18 shortly after. It also anticipates a busy start to the season, so those looking to purchase a membership are encouraged to do so before opening day.
Throughout the season, Men’s Night will be held on Tuesdays. Tee times will start at 3 p.m. and can be booked five days in advance by calling the pro shop at 780-778-3531.
Wednesday will be for Ladies Day. There won’t be weekly competitions this year, but participants can enjoy $10 off all nine-hole green fees and $15 off 18-hole green fees.
Couples Night will be held on Thursdays.
