The Whitecourt Wolverines are heading to the AJHL finals to take on the Canmore Eagles.
Last night, 1,268 fans packed JDA Place to see the team beat the Grande Prairie Storm 2-1 in overtime.

Grande Prairie opened the scoring at 15:09, and Whitecourt’s Tristan Slywka tied it 1-1 at 13:21 in the second frame- his second of the playoffs. The helpers went to Ty Rayan and Jackson DeGraves.
Wolverine Brendan Ruskowski broke that tie nearly 11 minutes into overtime, with assistance from Xander Schulte and Tyler Pretty.
Whitecourt also hammered Grande Prairie with 47 shots on goal to their 29.
The team finished the semifinals 4-3 against the Storm.
