Edson’s Reflections fundraiser brought in $26,795 for the organization at the end of February, surpassing its $20,000 goal.
Feb. 28 marked the Coldest Night of the Year, an annual walk to fundraise for charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness across Canada.
In Edson, residents walked two or five kilometres and raised funds to support Reflections, an adult drop-in centre that provides support to anyone in need, particularly those experiencing mental health or homelessness challenges.
Over 80 walkers participated. The Edson and District Recycling team raised the most money, bringing in $8,260.
