Town of Barrhead residents are invited to two public hearing opportunities next week to discuss tax incentives and urban hens.
Barrhead town council has scheduled two public hearings during its regular meeting on Feb. 24.
Hearing one takes place at 5:30 p.m., regarding a proposed tax incentive bylaw. The bylaw would provide municipal property tax incentives for new residential dwelling units constructed within the Town of Barrhead.
The second hearing starts at 7 p.m. and concerns Animal Control Bylaw amendments. The proposed amendments would allow urban hens to be kept within the town, with specific requirements and limitations related to their proper keeping.
Members of the public may attend in person, participate electronically, or provide written or verbal submissions at the public hearings.
More information on hearings one and two is available on the town’s website.
