December 3 is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and local and provincial groups are hosting events in its recognition.
The day is intended to increase awareness of diverse abilities and promote inclusion for Albertans with disabilities.
In Barrhead, the Barrhead Accessibility Coalition is hosting a free pancake breakfast and resource sharing event.
It will be held at the Barrhead Senior Drop-In Centre from 9-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The Alberta Ability Network is also hosting a virtual event called “Stronger Together: Celebrating Disability Advocacy in Alberta.”
It will be streamed via Zoom from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and you can register online to attend.
