Forever Canadian, an organization asking Albertans whether they believe the province should remain in Canada, is in Whitecourt tomorrow to collect signatures for its petition.
The citizen-initiated petition needs 300,000 in-person signatures to meet the threshold set by Elections Alberta for a potential referendum to proceed.
The hope is that a strong result will communicate a clear message, reduce uncertainty, and let communities focus on building a stronger future within Canada.
Eligible voters can sign in person with their name and address as they appear on the registered voter list.
