The Edson RCMP are on scene for a collision between a pickup truck and a pedestrian on Highway 748 that claimed the life of a 39-year-old man.
As a result, police say the highway between Township Road 540 and Township Road 542 north of Edson will be closed.
EMS attended but the man from Yellowhead County was declared deceased on scene.
The matter is still under investigation and an update will be sent once the highway reopens.
