This Saturday is National Indigenous Peoples Day, and you can mark the occasion by heading to the Allan and Jean Millar Centre for a family dance.
The dance runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and be sure to bring your best moves, because there will be spotlight dance prizes.
Pizza, snacks and non alcoholic drinks will also be provided, and there will be live music by local talent Métis Country.
The event is hosted by the Whitecourt Indigenous Friends Society in partnership with the Town of Whitecourt, Woodlands County, the Government of Canada, Blue Ridge Lumber and West Fraser.
