A total of $22,300 in funding is set to be distributed to multiple organizations within the Town of Edson.
Each year, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) funding is allocated to groups enhancing the well-being of Edson residents.
Based on recommendations from the FCSS Advisory Board, funding was approved for the following groups:
- Yellowhead Emergency Shelter for Women Society – $5,200
- Hinton Adult Learning Society: FASD Edson – $3,500
- Community Engagement Action Team Society (CEAT) – $500
- Edson and District Community Learning Society (Settlement Services) – $1,600
- Lions Clubs of Edson – $1,500
- Edson United Church – $3,750
- Edson Food Bank Society – $6,250
The allocations were approved by town council during its regularly scheduled meeting on May 20.
