A number of local MLAs will be taking on some extra duties within the Alberta government.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith has unveiled the names of the ministers and MLAs who will serve on the government’s cabinet policy committees.
On Monday, Smith said she’s proud of those who are stepping up to take on additional responsibilities for the people of Alberta.
West Yellowhead MLA and Minister of Infrastructure Martin Long will serve on the Building Communities committee.
Joining him is MLA for Lac Ste. Anne-Parkland, Shane Getson.
Glenn van Dijken, Athabasca-Barrhead-Westlock MLA, has been named chair of the Alberta First committee.
Central Peace-Notley MLA and Minister of Infrastructure Todd Loewen will sit on the committee for Economic Development.
