Whitecourt RCMP are seeking public assistance with two suspected arson investigations.
Mounties say the first fire occurred on April 17, 2025, at approximately 6 p.m., while the second was on April 25, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Police note, both fires occurred in the same general area, in the Town of Whitecourt limits, east of the industrial park, specifically south of 41 Avenue and east of 30 Street.
The Town of Whitecourt Fire Department and Whitecourt RCMP responded to both, and both fires were put out within hours. Alberta Wildfire provided assistance. At no time were lives or private property structures threatened, say RCMP. However, approximately 19 acres was burned.
