According to officials with the Town of Whitecourt and Woodlands County, several town-owned and county-owned facilities will be closed or have alternate hours of operation for the Easter long weekend.
Officials with the Town of Whitecourt say the following facilities will be closed on Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21.
- Town Office
- Whitecourt Transfer Station – open Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20.
- Whitecourt Landfill – open on Saturday, April 19.
Staff with the Allan and Jean Millar Centre say their hours of operation for the long weekend are as follows:
- Friday, April 18: Open 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Aquatic Centre: Open 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, April 19: Open 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Aquatic Centre: Open 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday, April 20: Closed
- Aquatic Centre: Closed
- Monday, April 21: Open 5:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Aquatic Centre: Open 6:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Staff with Whitecourt Transit say they will operate on the following hours:
- Friday, April 18: No service
- Saturday, April 19: 9:00 a.m. – 3:44 p.m.
- Sunday, April 20: No service
- Monday, April 21: No service
- Dial A Bus will not operate from April 18 through April 21.
Whitecourt residents are reminded that Residential Curbside Recycling pick up will remain per the normal schedule; please have your items out for collection by 7:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18.

Officials with Woodlands County say their offices will be closed from Friday, April 18, to Monday, April 21, for the Easter long weekend and are expected to reopen at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22.
