One person has died following an accident at Eastlink Park Ski Hill in Whitecourt.
On Saturday, March 8, Whitecourt RCMP say they were called to assist EMS at Eastlink Park following reports of a crash leading to the death of an individual.
Mounties say an initial investigation suggests the individual was unable to properly slow down and stop before crashing into and over the barrier at the base of the hill.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing as the deceased was transported to the coroner’s office for an autopsy. Further updates, however, are not expected.
