Whitecourt Wolverines goaltender Zac Onyskiw will be playing for the Grant MacEwan Griffins next season. The Griffins play in the Canada West Division of the USports Conference.
Onyskiw made the announcement on Tuesday, Feb. 25, and says he is excited to join another high-calibre team.
Zac is having a career-high season with a record of 22-7-1-3, with three shutouts and leads all AJHL goaltenders in wins, save percentage and goals against average. Over his 96-game career, he has a record of 62-22-10, a save percentage of .922, a 2.22 goals-against average and has posted 10 shutouts.
Onyskiw and the rest of the Wolverines are back in action on Friday, Feb. 28, as they head out to Grande Prairie to take on the Storm.
