Woodlands and Lac Ste. Anne County residents are invited to an information session about orphan wells in early February.
Organizers say this information session provides an opportunity for residents to learn more about orphan well cleanup efforts, regulatory oversight, supports and resources available for landowners and resolving surface rights disputes in Alberta.
Residents can also learn more about the roles of the Orphan Well Association, the Alberta Energy Regulator, the Farmer’s Advocate Office and the Land and Property Rights Tribunal in ensuring the responsible management of Alberta’s energy infrastructure.
The information session will held at the Lac Ste. Anne County Administration office (56521, Range Road 65, Sangudo), on Wednesday, Feb. 5. Between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m.
This event is free to attend, however, registration is required. Click HERE to register.
