Woodlands County residents may notice an increase in smoke in the area as Canfor crews begin burning winter piles on Monday, Nov. 25, weather permitting.
Crews say they plan to begin burning on Monday and will continue through to Friday. While necessary precautions are being taken, officials are informing residents they may notice more smoke in the area than usual.
Officials with Canfor say they will be periodically burning piles in Woodlands County throughout the winter, and hope to have all burning completed before Feb. 15, 2025.
