Now that winter weather has arrived, officials with the Town of Whitecourt are reminding residents of their snow-clearing responsibilities
Property owners are being reminded they are responsible for clearing snow and ice from public sidewalks adjacent to their property within 24 hours of the end of a snowfall.
Officials say the town is also providing a free sand/salt mix for residential use. The salt/sand mix can be found in the green bin located in the 52 Avenue parking lot, behind the Whitecourt Legion. Residents will be required to bring their own shovel and bucket.
