Canada Union of Postal Workers initiated strike action across the country on the morning of Friday, Nov. 15.
Workers in the CUP-W union include rural mail carriers who distribute mail at the street level and plant workers.
There are two separate unions in the Whitecourt post office, which will remain open but may not have much mail to distribute while the strike action is in effect.
