Woodlands County Council provided an update on the following items from their council meeting held Oct. 23.
Council re-appointed Councillor Dave Kusch as Reeve for another term and appointed Councillors to serve on various committees.
Council was also updated on the condition of the cold mix, oiled and gravel roads as well as ditching for various roads in Woodlands County. McElhanney provided the results of their inspection of 65 km of oiled and cold mix roads which outlined cost estimates and rehabilitation options based on road conditions. Council says they have developed a Condition Improvement program to be used to guide upcoming budget discussions.
Council also accepted the Levels of Service Report, which inventories the services provided by each department and outlines recommendations for the growth of the organization to meet service levels expected by Woodlands County residents. This report will be incorporated into the next Strategic Plan review following the 2025 election.
