Officials with the Town of Barrhead are inviting residents to attend a Public Hearing being held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Town Council Chambers, in regards to potential changes to the current Land Use Bylaw.
Town officials say they have given first reading to a bylaw that would see Beaver Brook Estates (lots 24-29 of Block 7 Plan 082 0647) re-zoned from R1-Residential to R3-Residential Medium Density.
According to Town officlas, R3-Residential districts are meant to provide a variety of medium to high-density housing options, and those uses which are compatible with the character of the residential neighbourhood. Renderings of possible structure designs have also been provided, with officials stressing they are conceptual only and have not approved any designs yet.

Officials say the bylaw can be viewed by the public at the Town Administration Office during regular business hours before Aug. 8, and are encouraging residents to attend the hearing if they wish to provide feedback.
