A Spruce Grove man thought there was something wrong with his phone after he checked his LOTTO MAX ticket using the Lotto Spot! app, but turns out he had actually won over $600,000.
Bradley Letendre’s ticket from the February 23 draw won him a total of $667,354.10.
“I scanned the ticket and saw a bunch of numbers on the screen,” he said. “I thought my phone was acting up at first. When I realized it wasn’t, I thought I had won just over six thousand dollars.”
“I couldn’t believe it – I had to scan the ticket a few times before I realized I had actually won over six hundred thousand!”
He matched six out of the seven drawn numbers and the bonus number on his ticket – 3, 13, 20, 30, 45, 49 and the bonus, 35.
Letendre shared LOTTO MAX’s second-highest prize with another ticket purchased in British Columbia.
He says he plans to pay off his mortgage and share some of the winnings with his family.
“I’m going to share some of the money and pay off some bills,” he said. “But mostly, this will just make everything easier, and that’s a dream come true.”
Letendre purchased his LOTTO MAX ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 2 Aspenglen Drive in Spruce Grove.
