Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, the County of Barrhead fire chief has implemented the following fire restriction as of 12:00 p.m., on April 11.
Under this restriction, all fire permits have been suspended and large burn permits are cancelled. Also, burn barrels, incinerators, fireworks and torches are now all prohibited, as well as campfires on private and public land.
The fire chief notes, this restriction does not apply to barbeques, propane fire pits and approved campfire pits.
Officials say this restriction will remain in effect until lifted by the proper authority of the County of Barrhead.
