Officials with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) say with the warm weather and sunshine that covered most of the province early this week, many areas set new daily maximum temperature records for Monday, March 18.
The Barrhead area set a new daily maximum temperature record of 16.4 degrees Celsius, surpassing the old record of 15.0 degrees Celsius set in 1928. Officials with ECCC say records in this area have been kept since 1912.
