Round one of the 2023/24 National Junior Hockey League playoffs began on Monday, March 11.
The Fox Creek Ice Kings and the Mayerthorpe Lightning are currently battling it out to determine who will take on the Edson Eagles in the second round of the playoffs.
The Ice Kings won game-one of the best-of-five series on Monday, March 11, by a score of 7-5, and game-two on Tuesday, March 12, by a score of 10-8.
Game-three of this series will be played on Friday, March 15, at the Fox Creek Greenview Multiplex Arena at 8:00 p.m.
Both the High Prairie Red Wings and the Gibbons Pioneers were given byes to the second round where they will face off against each other. The Red Wings will have home-ice advantage for game-one which will be played at the High Prairie Sports Palace on Friday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m.
