The Whitecourt Wolverines opened their 2023-2024 regular season over the weekend with a pair of losses to the Camrose Kodiaks, and Brooks Bandits, respectively.
On Friday, the Wolverines lost their home-opener 4-3 in an overtime shootout to the Kodiaks at JDA Place, then followed that up with a 4-0 shutout loss to the Bandits on Saturday, also at JDA Place.
Wolverine goal scorers from Friday’s game included Joey Melo, Colby Browne (whose goal came on the power play), and Jaxon Priddle.
While on Saturday, the Wolverines were kept off the scoresheet, unfortunately.
The Wolverines (0-1-0-1) are back in action Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, when they travel to the Drumheller Memorial Arena to take on the Dragons. It’s a 7:00 p.m. MDT face-off.
