In a bid to celebrate Pride Month, there will be a pride and celebration barbeque at Festival Park in Whitecourt on Friday, June 9, 2023.
Residents may head down to Festival Park from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 for a free BBQ, crafts, and activities to celebrate the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Whitecourt.
Officials say members of the community, allies, friends, and family of all ages are invited to this free event. Local resources and information will also be on hand through various community organizations.
Furthermore, there will be parade around the pond at 5:30 p.m., residents attending are asked to meet at the pavilion.
