The town of Edson has installed a no-stopping zone at 54 Street on 2 Avenue.
The town recently expanded the intersection to improve turning movements for large commercial vehicles travelling through the area, and officials say the new stopping restriction is meant to maintain clear sightlines and reduce the risk of collisions and congestion.
Stopping or parking is not permitted within the newly signed area. These restrictions are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The town says its Enforcement Services will monitor the road to educate and raise awareness about the change before moving to enforcement measures.
