The RCMP Western Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, in cooperation with Fox Creek RCMP, has arrested two people in relation to a seizure of drugs and weapons.
The multi-week investigation that took place this October in the town of Fox Creek centred around the alleged distribution of various substances at the community level.
“Both individuals were the targets of an April 2026 drug investigation by our unit. At the time of this latest arrest, they were on active release conditions while awaiting court appearances for those prior charges,” said Sgt. Wade Oliver, Unit commander of Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.
“It’s deeply concerning when individuals who are already facing serious charges from a prior drug investigation choose to violate their conditions. Our unit remains steadfast in monitoring repeat offenders and ensuring they are held accountable to keep our communities safe.”
Oliver added that in a community the size of Fox Creek, a drug seizure of this magnitude can have an immediate and substantial impact.
“RCMP reminds the public to exercise caution around recreational drug use as cross-contamination can easily occur both intentionally and accidentally.”
As a result of the aforementioned search, RCMP seized:
