Advance voting stations for Alberta’s upcoming referendum are open from Oct. 13-17.
That includes stations at the following locations:
- Royal Canadian Legion Branch #44 in Whitecourt (4928 51 Avenue)
- Indominus Sports in Edson (419 50 Street)
- Barrhead Senior Citizens Drop-in Centre (5437 49 Street)
- 50+ Club in Swan Hills (5632 Main Street)
- Fox Creek Greenview Multiplex (103 2A Avenue)
- Mayerthorpe Diamond Centre (4814 54 Street)
- Onoway Community Hall (4920 49 Avenue)
- Evansburg Seniors Heritage House (5009 49 Street)
Visit the Elections Alberta website to view the exact dates and times these locations are open for advance voting.
Election Day voting is scheduled for Oct. 19.
The referendum fields 10 questions to Albertans; the first nine will focus on the Constitution and immigration, while the final question will ask if the voter wishes to remain in Canada or hold another binding vote on quitting Confederation.
Elections Alberta has said it’s preparing for a record voter turnout.
