An Amber Alert has been issued by the Valleyview RCMP following the alleged abduction of a seven-year-old girl from her home in Valleyview.
She is described as four feet tall and slim, with curly, shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes.
Police say she was taken by her stepfather, a 28-year-old male. He is described as being six foot five inches tall and 185 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
He is believed to be driving a grey 2004 Chevrolet Venture van with Alberta licence plate CWY3459, and police say he may be driving to Slave Lake or Red Deer.
If he travels to Red Deer, he could travel through the Drayton Valley region.
If located, Police ask witnesses not to approach the suspect or his vehicle, but to call 911 immediately.
Updates will be shared via Alberta Emergency Alert.
