Edson RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a vehicle in a hit and run.
On Sept. 16, 2026, Edson RCMP responded to a report of a hit and run in the area of 4 Avenue and 49 Street in Edson.
Mounties say the collision occurred around 12:30 p.m., where a suspect vehicle was travelling southbound on 49 Street, then failed to stop for a stop sign. Police say the suspect vehicle then collided with another truck, and fled eastbound down Highway 16 in Edson, at a high rate of speed.
Footage has been obtained and Edson RCMP are requesting public assistance with identifying the suspect and suspect vehicle. Additionally, Mounties are seeking any additional footage from the local area or through dash cams that may have witnessed the collision.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white Dodge Ram 3500 with stickers and words or letters on the drivers side rear passenger door, that has storage boxes in the box, and was hauling a dual axle trailer with various equipment on it.
This investigation is still ongoing and RCMP would like to extend gratitude to community members for their assistance thus far.
