The Whitecourt Family Violence Initiative is hosting a preventative two-day program next month.
Running Oct. 1-2, the New Hope for Adults program is designed for both men and women.
Representatives say the program can help revitalize relationships, enhance communication skills and provide safe and confidential support.
Topics covered in the program include, but are not limited to:
- Managing anger and other uncomfortable emotions.
- Communicating effectively.
- Recognizing abusive behaviour in relationships.
- Making positive changes in relationships.
- The effects of an unhealthy relationship on children.
- Strategies to reduce stress.
