Barrhead RCMP responded to a report of a firearm last week.
At about 1 p.m. on Sept. 10, the RCMP received a report of an individual in possession of a possible firearm inside Barrhead Composite High School.
Police say they quickly attended the school and located the suspect.
The hold and secure of the school lasted about 30 minutes.
Although no firearm was located, the RCMP says it takes this threat seriously and continues to investigate.
