Edson RCMP seeks assistance in identifying multiple alleged break-in suspects

Edson RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying suspects in two alleged and unconnected oil lease break-ins.

On Aug. 26, Edson RCMP responded to a report of a break-in at an oilfield site near Amoco Road and Emerson Creek Road. The RCMP says fuel was reported stolen from the site.

Police say footage showed two suspects entering the site with a truck. It is described as a dark, possibly blue, older-model truck with a light border on the bottom.

Both suspects were wearing dark clothing.

The investigation is still ongoing. The images below are captured from surveillance footage of the incident.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed two suspects entering the site and walking through the yard near main buildings.

The suspects are described as follows:

• Suspect one: light skin complexion, wearing a dark hoodie, black face mask, gloves, dark pants and dark shoes.
• Suspect two: light skin complexion, wearing a black face mask, a dark hoodie, dark pants, gloves, dark shoes and a brown or tan backpack.

The RCMP is asking community members in the area to review dash camera or trail camera footage for further images of the suspects or the vehicle they used.

Images captured from security footage are below.
