Trailer access to the Whitecourt Regional Landfill has been restricted due to deteriorating road conditions.
The Town of Whitecourt and Woodlands County report that heavy rainfall has made the road leading to the active landfill cell unsuitable for trailer traffic.
To prevent vehicles from getting stuck or causing further damage to the road, extra 20-yard bins have been placed near the landfill entrance to accommodate these customers.
The restriction is expected to be in effect until August 18.
