Whitecourt’s annual Party in the Park Festival returns June 19-20 this year, with major headliners scheduled for both nights.
Friday, June 19, Carolyn Dawn Johnson headlines the country concert and Saturday, Prism rocks the house.
All the action takes place at Festival Park from 5-10:30 p.m. on Friday and 2-10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Opening acts on June 19 include Métis Country, Never Too Late and Teagan Littlechief, with Shane McLaren and Edward Pimm filling in the gaps.
Openers for June 20 include Travina Lynn and Draven, Sweet Disaster, DMT, Analog Smokeshow and Scenic Route to Alaska, with Draven, John MacAulay and Zander Ness performing in-betweeners.
Additionally, Saturday’s concert run starts with Yuki the Juggler.
On top of two evenings of free concerts, attendees can enjoy beer gardens, food trucks, roving performers, plus inflatables, laser tag, face painting and entertainers for the children.
Organizers remind residents that dogs and barbecues or grills are not permitted at the event. It’s also recommended to bring cash for merchandise, the beer gardens, and food vendors.
