The Friends of Whitecourt Society has been gifted a $15,000 donation from Woodlands County to support its CT scanner fundraising campaign.
The county says it is proud to support a project strengthening regional healthcare capacity and residents’ access to essential services closer to home.
“A CT scanner will be a tremendous asset for the region, and I’m very pleased that Woodlands County is able to contribute and help make it happen,” commented Reeve Dave Kusch.
Elain Gunderson, treasurer of the society, said, “We’re excited about this fundraiser, and Whitecourt really needs a CT Scanner. We’re so happy that everybody is on board. We’re receiving tremendous support from both the Town and the County, so thank you.”
