Woodlands County residents affected by an evacuation order issued May 11 can apply for emergency relief assistance from the municipal government.
The county offers a one-time $1,000 emergency relief payment for residents who experience a catastrophic event resulting in a total loss of or uninhabitable living conditions.
To be eligible, applicants cannot have already received county financial assistance related to the same event, such as food or hotel vouchers. Applications also need to be submitted within 72 hours of the event, and property taxes must be current.
