The Town of Whitecourt has issued a fire advisory due to dry and windy weather conditions.
Existing fire pit and burn permits are still valid and new permit requests will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
Fires in backyard pits and at campsites are still allowed, but extreme caution is advised.
The advisory is in effect until conditions improve or further escalation is required.
