The Whitecourt Wolverines made a comeback in Grande Prairie Wednesday night, despite an even bigger crowd of 2,725 spectators.
They overtook the storm 3-2 at the Bonnetts Energy Centre.
The Wolverines put the pressure on right out of the gate, scoring all three goals of the game in the first period.
Jalen Bianchet scored first at 8:34. His fourth of the playoffs was assisted by Nolan Schmidt and Kyle Tucker.
At 12:12, Ty Rayan netted a shorthanded goal unassisted.
Bianchet scored again at 19:00, with the helpers going to Alex Symes and Nathan Hawkins.
Grande Prairie answered with a goal in the second frame to bring the score to 3-1, and another in period three for the 3-2 finish.
Whitecourt Wolverines goalie Elliott Pratt faced 37 shots on goal, stopping 35.
Whitecourt and Grande Prairie are now tied 2-2 in their four-game series. Game five is back on home ice at 7 p.m. on April 10.
